Work Permit

WORK PERMIT PROCEDURES

Students below the age of 18 are required to have a work permit to work in authorized legitimate businesses.  Work permits are done electronically via the Georgia Department of Labor.  Work permit data applications are available in the Career Center.  If you need a work permit, the data forms are in a mailbox on the door of the Career Center.
Part A is personal data and part B is data you must secure from your prospectrive employer.  When parts A and B are completed, give the data form to Barbara Larkin, Post Secondary Counselor.  A copy of the electronic work permit will be given to you to present to your employer.  There is no charge for this service.  If you submit the data form before 12:00 noon, it will be prepared for you before the end of the school day.

If you have more than one job, a seperate work permit is needed for each employer.  Please come by the Career Center if you have any questions.
